Question
Are there any digital cameras out there that dont have a delay when taking a photo ?
Answer
Yes.The Leica compacts have only a fraction of a second delay, also, fixed focus, lower price cameras are pretty instant, because they arent doing any focusing.brbrbrIf you partly depress the shutter button and allow a camera to prefocus, then you can usually get an instant response from any camera. Just keep the button partly depressed until you want the shutter to fire. This depends on your prediction of where the action is going to be, of course. If you are just generally irritated by the long delays that some cameras subject you to, then have a look at the Leica. Some pose value with them as well.brbrSome of the Canon Eos range have short delays as well, but they are quite big, DSLR cameras that take more carrying and paying for. If you want a DSLR, you could also look at Nikon, and Sony have just released a nice looking one, but I dont know about shutter delay times. Many makers quote the shutter delay, if you look at the tech specs. There is always a delay, but it can be a fraction of a second, which is much more convenient.
